Travertine is a unique stone that comes in a couple different forms. Travertine comes in what is known as filled and unfilled. Travertine naturally has holes that run throughout the stone, and when left this way, the stone is considered unfilled. The filled travertine is exactly what it says—the holes are filled—giving the stone a smooth finish.

Travertine can come in either a honed (matte finish) or in a polished finish. These finishes need to be cared for and will from time to time need honing to remove scratches and etching, or will need to be re-polished and sealed. As can be seen in the picture above, Sir Grout Washington DC Metro offers services that will keep your travertine looking like new. We can clean, hone or polish, and seal your travertine. If you desire, we can customize your travertine's surface to the finish of your choice. From time to time holes will become exposed in the filled travertine, and we can repair these holes and restore your travertine back to its original splendor.

Hark. We Bring Good News!

Sir Grout is making customers happy all over the land.

We hired Sir Grout to do our kitchen floor and master bathroom/shower floors. Romeo was our service technician. He arrived on time, and did a wonderful job. Our floors looked brand new when completed. He was knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and helped my wife select grout colors. He finished the job in a day. He was very clean and respectful of our home. We highly recommend Sir Grout and Romeo!

The whole experience with Sir Grout has been a pleasure. Mike came out for the estimate and answered all of our questions. We scheduled the job that night. Romeo came to perform the service, and we really couldn't be happier with the result. He regrouted the entire shower area, color sealed the wall grout, and replaced the caulking around the perimeter and fixtures. It basically looks brand new, like the day we bought the house. There's no question we'll continue to use Sir Grout ...
